Prosecutors of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv Region have sent an indictment to the court against the former head of the land resources department of the Brovary City Council and the director of a private enterprise, who are accused of abuse of power and forgery of documents (Part 2 of Article 364, Part 2 of Article 358, Part 5 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the city council official entered into a criminal conspiracy with the director of the company that conducted the valuation of municipal land.
Together, they organized a scheme to artificially lower the value of the plots in order to sell them to entrepreneurs at prices significantly below market value.
To this end, the director of the contracting company prepared falsified reports on the expert valuation of the land, in which he included false data regarding its market value. Based on these documents, the city council made a decision to sell the plots, which were approved and endorsed by the head of the land management department.
As a result of these actions, the local budget lost over 1.5 million hryvnias in revenue.
The prosecutor's office filed a civil lawsuit for full compensation for the damage caused to the state.
The pre-trial investigation in the case was conducted by investigators of the Brovary District Police Department under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
