08.10.2025
Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been submitted to the court against a local resident who, at the enemy's request, committed sabotage on critical infrastructure facilities (Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that representatives of the Russian special services recruited an employee of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" via Telegram. For a monetary reward, he agreed to carry out the tasks of his curator – to set fire to relay cabinets and transformers on the logistics route used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After receiving instructions, the accused doused three relay cabinets on the Dnipro Railway with flammable liquid and set them on fire. He recorded his actions on his mobile phone for further reporting.
The man received his reward in a virtual wallet through the transfer of cryptocurrency.
Among the tasks received from the Russian special services was also the planning of sabotage aimed at disrupting the movement of a freight train.
During a search, law enforcement officers seized bottles of flammable liquid and mobile phones containing evidence of illegal activities.
Currently, the accused is in custody without the right to bail.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
