Under the procedural guidance of the Pavlohrad District Prosecutor's Office, a former accountant of one of the municipal enterprises of the city council has been notified of suspicion for embezzling budget funds in particularly large amounts (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, from 2016 to 2021, she did not transfer to the enterprise's account the funds received from residents of the Pavlohrad district for housing and communal services, but embezzled them by forging official documents.

In this way, the suspect misappropriated over 4.8 million UAH, as confirmed by the findings of the expert examination.

Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for her is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Pavlohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the Pavlohrad District Prosecutor's Office.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
