Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion against a local resident who was adjusting enemy shelling. He is charged with treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect provided the enemy with detailed information about the location and movement of the Security and Defense Forces, the locations of checkpoints, the placement of military equipment, as well as the coordinates of critical and strategic infrastructure objects that connect the left and right banks of the Kherson region. He used Google tags for this purpose.

The data obtained from him was used by the occupiers to carry out targeted strikes on Kherson with various types of weapons, including aviation strike means. After the attacks, the suspect informed his curators about the consequences of the shelling.

Law enforcement officers detained the man and seized mobile phones, system drives, and a system unit containing evidence of illegal activities.

He has currently been placed under preventive measure - detention.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
