The former investigator from Crimea faces up to 15 years in prison for treason

Prosecutors of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court regarding a law enforcement officer from Crimea, who is charged with treason and collaborationism (Part 1 of Article 111, Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that after the occupation of the peninsula in 2014, the then investigator of the Krasnoperekopsk District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (now the city of Yany Kapu) voluntarily collaborated with the occupiers: initially, he took the position of head of the "MO MVD of Russia 'Krasnoperekopsk'", and later — a similar position in the city of Armyansk.

In 2023, the accused headed the "Kherson Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Transport," which is located in the temporarily occupied Genichesk.

In this position, the traitor remains to this day, acting against the interests and to the detriment of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The indictment has been sent to the Rivne City Court.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region under a special procedure.
