On July 22, 2025, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the General Director of the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine," who is suspected of illegal enrichment. An alternative has been set at a bail amount of 90 million 870 thousand UAH.

According to the investigation, while serving as the Head of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine in 2021, the official acquired assets worth over 10.4 million UAH, which significantly exceeds his legal income. The difference amounts to over 7.9 million UAH. Among such assets are: an apartment in Kyiv worth over 9 million UAH, registered in the name of a controlled person, and 8 plots of land with a total area of 24 hectares.

His actions have been classified under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal enrichment.

The procedural leadership in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the Office of the Prosecutor General. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the State Bureau of Investigation with operational support from the Main Operational Department of the State Bureau of Investigation.
