Explosions near the Tax Code in Ternopil were prepared - prosecutors sent the case to court

Prosecutors of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court against two residents of Poltava region, accused of preparing to commit a terrorist act, completed by an attempt to acquire, store, and carry explosive devices (Part 1 of Article 14, Part 2 of Article 258, Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The residents of Poltava region, acting under the instructions and remote guidance of a "curator" from the aggressor country, arrived in Ternopil to install explosive devices near the military enlistment office for a reward. They took homemade explosive devices left for them from the store's lockers and left them in a rented apartment. According to a plan previously agreed upon with the "curator," they were supposed to install remote-controlled devices under a parked car near the military enlistment office and in the yard near the administrative building.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of law enforcement, the terrorist act was averted, and the perpetrators were detained while attempting to leave the region.

The accused are in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
