Life imprisonment for a cruel killer. The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the sentence in the Supreme Court

On the principled position of the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence against a resident of Odesa region who committed intentional murder for mercenary motives and robbery (paragraph 6 of part 2 of Article 115, part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as openly seizing the property of another victim together with accomplices (part 2 of Article 186, part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation and courts of all instances established that in February 2022, the convicted individuals were targeting lonely men at the railway station in Vinnytsia. They used violence to take money and belongings from the victims. During one of the attacks, the main accused inflicted 10 stab wounds on a man, resulting in the victim's death.

The Cassation Criminal Court as part of the Supreme Court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutors.

The murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property. His accomplices received 10 years of imprisonment each, also with confiscation of property.

The convicted individuals did not admit their guilt.

They are currently serving the sentence imposed by the court.
