19.11.2025
At the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany made a decision to extradite a citizen of Ukraine who was wanted internationally for committing serious crimes as part of an organized criminal group.
On November 17, 2025, the suspect was handed over to Ukrainian law enforcement at the international checkpoint "Krakivets".
The investigation established that he is a member of a criminal organization that included, among others, certain law enforcement officers. The group was engaged in the illegal production, transportation, storage for the purpose of sale, and sale of psychotropic substances: PVP, 4-MMC, and amphetamine in particularly large quantities.
In addition, the members of the organization established drug smuggling channels from Ukraine to European Union countries. During investigative actions, law enforcement seized over 300 kg of prohibited substances.
Previously, law enforcement detained other members of the drug syndicate, including a law enforcement officer. It was established that they also participated in organizing the production and transportation of psychotropic substances, specifically providing driver selection and the operation of hideouts in vehicles. In January 2025, an indictment was sent to court regarding these individuals.
The extradited individual has been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 28, and Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The pre-trial investigation and operational support are being carried out by the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR).
