This concerns a state enterprise that specializes in the extraction of decorative and construction stone, limestone, gypsum, and chalk. From 2022 to 2024, the acting head of the enterprise, acting in the interests of third parties, sold the manufactured products at prices lower than their actual cost. As a result of these actions, the state budget suffered losses of over 3 million UAH.

Prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against the official. He is charged with abuse of office, which caused severe consequences (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

It should be noted that the illegal activities of the official were uncovered and stopped by prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office together with the Bureau of Economic Security in September of this year. He has been notified of the suspicion.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Chernivtsi region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
