Under the procedural guidance of the Volyn Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region, law enforcement officers uncovered and detained a group of individuals who organized the illegal exit of conscripted men from the country for money.

A 53-year-old resident of the Lutsk district was found to be involved in the crime along with two accomplices. The man was looking for those wishing to flee the country and offered them his services - to organize a crossing to the Republic of Belarus for $12,500, and from there to the countries of the European Union.

Law enforcement officers detained the two women immediately after receiving money from a client near the border with Belarus. The man was arrested in the city of Kamin-Kashirsk, where he was waiting for the return of his accomplices with the money.

The detained individuals were informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The scheme for smuggling conscripted men was dismantled by operatives of the Volyn Department of the National Police's Internal Security Department and investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Volyn region, together with operational staff of the Border Guard Service of the 6th Border Detachment of the Western Border Guard Service, under the procedural guidance of the Volyn Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region.
