The FSB agent who worked at the State Space Agency of Ukraine was sentenced to 15 years

With the support of the public prosecution by prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, an official of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, who was remotely recruited by the Russian special services in 2024, was found guilty of treason (part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment.

The enemy was interested in secret information to which the convicted individual had access, particularly in the field of satellite imagery and the location of strategic enterprises. Among other things, the FSB attempted to obtain intelligence about the location of factories that produce navigation systems and high-precision weapons for the defense of Ukraine. The official was also supposed to provide the occupiers with current locations of military warehouses.

Employees of the DCR and investigators of the GSU of the SBU detained him in the spring of 2025 during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industries.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the GSU of the SBU with operational support from the DCR of the SBU.

Note: according to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
