Under the public prosecution of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of Poltava region guilty of treason, committing a terrorist act, and illegal handling of weapons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111, Part 2 of Article 258, Part 1 of Article 263, Part 1 of Article 263-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors in court proved that the convicted individual was recruited by representatives of the Russian special services via a Telegram channel. Following the instructions of his handler, he planted a homemade explosive device in a designated location near the prosecutor's car in one of the districts of Dnipro city. Subsequently, he activated the explosives and set up a remote surveillance and control device near the site of the terrorist act.

As a result of the explosion that occurred on June 6, 2025, the owner of the car – the prosecutor – was injured.

During the investigation, the convicted individual entered into a plea agreement with the investigation. He admitted his guilt, concluded a plea deal, and provided testimony against another accomplice, which allowed for the rapid resolution of the crime.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing regarding the other suspect.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
