In September 2017, a resident of the Luhansk region signed a contract at the so-called "military enlistment office" of the "LPR". He mastered the specialty of a shooter and carried out patrols, ensuring that residents of the occupied settlements adhered to the curfew. Later, he took direct part in combat actions against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A few days before the full-scale invasion, he was moved to the village of Triokhizbenka, where he awaited orders to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. During this period, four residents from Dovzhansk, Sukhodilsk, Slovianoserbsk, and Donetsk joined the ranks of illegal armed formations. They were also assigned as shooters.
On the enemy's side, the convicted served in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions. They constructed defensive structures, stormed fortifications, carried out combat duty at positions and checkpoints, and guarded weapons depots. In addition, they checked vehicles and sought out pro-Ukrainian citizens during interrogations.
In 2024, a native of Zughres voluntarily went to fight on the enemy's side. As part of a motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, he performed tasks on the line of combat engagement in the areas of Ocheretyne and Vodiane Druhe.
Participants of the occupying army were detained by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, and Pokrovsk districts. They are currently in custody.
