Up to 13 years of imprisonment condemned a man who raped his minor daughter

A resident of Vinnytsia was found guilty of crimes against the sexual freedom and inviolability of his minor daughter.

The state prosecution in court was personally supported by the deputy head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Andriy Kostik, who defended the rights and interests of the minor victim.

The Vinnytsia City Court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and sentenced the man to 13 years in prison.

During the trial, it was proven that the accused had exerted psychological and physical pressure on his daughter for a long time and raped her in November 2021.

The court took into account that the man had previously been convicted multiple times and committed crimes during the probationary period. Additionally, he was found guilty of illegal handling of weapons and ammunition.

His actions were classified under part 3 of Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – rape of a minor and part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal handling of weapons and ammunition.

The convicted individual will remain in custody until the sentence becomes final.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators from police department №1 of the Vinnytsia Regional Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region under the procedural supervision of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
