10.10.2025
Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a verdict has been issued against a man for the unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the illegal acquisition and storage of military ammunition (Part 3 of Article 114-2, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In November 2023, a resident of Kramatorsk began communicating on a dating site with a woman, a citizen of the Russian Federation, who was inquiring about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The local man, who had supported the Kremlin's policies since 2014, decided to assist her in gathering military-related information.
The man transmitted self-gathered information about the location of personnel and equipment of the Defense Forces, as well as fortifications in the area, at least five times via messenger. The information obtained was passed on by the citizen of the Russian Federation to the military of the aggressor state.
Additionally, during a search, a F-1 grenade was found and seized from the man, which he had illegally stored in his apartment, thereby endangering his neighbors.
The convicted individual awaited the court's verdict in custody. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
