Juvenile prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office supported the public prosecution against a resident of the city of Pyatykhatky, who was accused of intentional murder combined with violent sexual actions against a minor child, and theft.

He was found guilty and sentenced to the highest measure of punishment – life imprisonment. The actions of the convicted were qualified under paragraph 10 of part 2 of Article 115, part 5 of Article 152, and part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It was established that in 2023, on one of the streets of Pyatykhatky, the convicted man saw a 16-year-old girl he had previously known, who was returning home. Using physical force, the man dragged her to a deserted area, where he committed violent sexual actions and strangled her. In addition, while leaving the crime scene, the man took the victim's bag with personal belongings.

Until the verdict takes legal effect, he will remain in custody. 

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
