Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region, pre-trial investigations have been initiated regarding the commission of war crimes (Part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

According to the investigation, on October 9, 2025, the Russian army shelled the settlements of the region with artillery throughout the day and attacked with drones.    

As of 5:00 PM, one person is known to have died and five others were injured.   

Around 2:30 PM, as a result of an artillery attack in Kherson, an employee of one of the city's communal enterprises was killed. Three of his colleagues were hospitalized in serious condition. The vehicle in which the men were traveling was caught in the shelling zone.  

In the morning, the occupiers struck a cargo truck in Kherson with an FPV drone. Two men were injured.  

Prosecutors, together with investigators, continue to document the consequences of the shelling and the war crimes committed by the armed formations of the aggressor state.
