7 years by lattice: Bukovina was convicted of organizing the illegal transfer of men abroad

Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the Dnistrovskyi district has been found guilty of organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that a resident of the city of Khotyn established a channel for the illegal transportation of conscripts abroad. For 8,500 US dollars, he promised two "clients" to help them cross the border with Moldova outside of the checkpoints.

The convicted person personally met the men, transported them to a predetermined location, and then organized their delivery to the border area by other means of transport. However, the plan could not be realized – the men were uncovered by law enforcement officers.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region with operational support from the Chernivtsi Department of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine and the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine.
