50 indictments and sentences for collaborators and traitors: results of work of prosecutors of Luhansk region
06.10.2025
Prosecutors of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office continue to systematically hold accountable those who betrayed Ukraine and assisted the occupying authorities. In just the last two weeks, three guilty verdicts have been issued against collaborators and a state traitor, and another 50 criminal proceedings have been sent to court.
The main defendants are high-ranking officials of the "LPR," who are charged with collaborationist activities (Part 5 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine):
The so-called Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and his "acting" counterpart, who participate in the organization and implementation of the policy of the occupying authorities of the Russian Federation, as well as facilitate the forced use of transport capacities for the benefit of representatives of the aggressor state;
The "Ombudsman for Human Rights in the LPR," who previously held positions as "Advisor to the Head of the LPR" and "Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the LPR" under the occupying authorities, who actively promotes "Russian peace" and calls for gathering evidence of "war crimes" by Ukraine;
The "Deputy Head of the Electoral Commission of the LPR," who has been cooperating with the enemy since 2022 and assisted in conducting the "referendum," "elections to municipal districts," and "elections for the President of the Russian Federation."
50 indictments have also been sent to court regarding deputies of the "municipal districts of the LPR," former Ukrainian law enforcement officers who betrayed their oath, and members of "electoral commissions" who assisted the occupiers in organizing and conducting illegal plebiscites in the occupied Luhansk region.
Crimes against Ukraine are inevitable in their responsibility, and every criminal will inevitably answer before the court.
