With the support of the public prosecution, prosecutors from the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv have found the head of one of the services of PJSC "Ukrtelecom" guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The prosecutor proved in court that during 2023 - 2024, the accused received tasks via Telegram from representatives of the Russian Federation and transmitted schemes for connecting one of the military units in Kyiv to communication. The accused had access to this information as an employee of "Ukrtelecom." In addition, he transmitted the geographical coordinates of the location of the CHP and was to determine whether there was air defense nearby, and in case of detection, to transmit the coordinates, which the accused did.

The man is in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, with operational support from the Main Directorate of the Counterintelligence Protection of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
