With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found the citizen guilty of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved that in October 2024, the Kharkiv resident voluntarily agreed to work for the Russian special services. He was recruited by an FSB officer through Telegram.

The agent chose the pseudonym "Tyson" and agreed to gather intelligence data. He searched for and recorded the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units and the concentration of military equipment in the territory of Kharkiv and the Chuhuiv district. He transmitted the information in the form of markers on Google Maps, supplementing them with detailed textual descriptions.

Law enforcement officers uncovered the Kharkiv resident in January 2025. He awaited sentencing in custody.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support were carried out by the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
