Prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office ensured the confirmation of the sentence in the appeal for a resident of the city of Dobropillia in the Donetsk region, who was convicted of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Zhytomyr Court of Appeal agreed with the prosecutor's arguments regarding the justification and appropriateness of the imposed punishment – 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

In the courts of first and appellate instances, prosecutors proved that in the fall of 2023, the woman consciously and voluntarily joined the agent-informant network organized by the Russian Federation on the territory of Donetsk region. Its purpose was to collect intelligence information and conduct subversive activities against Ukraine.

In just a few months, the accused obtained and transmitted to the enemy more than a dozen messages with precise coordinates of the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Dobropillia.

The result of the traitor's actions was the fire damage to Ukrainian positions by Russian troops.

The woman was exposed and detained in the Zhytomyr region. During the court proceedings, she did not admit her guilt. 

The sentence has entered into legal force.
