A man who took the position of prosecutor in the occupation authority in Donetsk region has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for participation in a terrorist organization and treason (part 1 of article 258-3, part 1, 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court made this decision based on the public prosecution by prosecutors of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors proved in court that the convicted individual began collaborating with the occupiers in the summer of 2017, taking the position of "Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Legislation in the Economic Sphere of the Department for Supervision of Legislation" in the occupation authority — the "DPR" prosecutor's office.

In early 2019, he became the "First Deputy Prosecutor of Donetsk City DPR," and by the spring of 2022, the traitor was appointed as the "Acting Prosecutor of the Volodarsky District DPR."

The man participated in the illegal deprivation of liberty, as well as in the illegal criminal prosecution and conviction of citizens of Ukraine, including military personnel.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the General Inspectorate of the Office of the Prosecutor General by investigators of the third department of the management of documenting crimes committed in the context of armed conflict of the National Police of Ukraine.
